[ Jesus ]

If you’d like to find out more about the message of Jesus, the best place to start is with the Bible.

Mark’s gospel (gospel meaning good news) is the first of four accounts of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus to be written. It begins with the statement that this is “The beginning of the good news of Jesus the Messiah [or Christ] the Son of God” and ends with the confession of a Roman centurion that Jesus Christ was the Son of God following his death on a cross. It is the shortest of the four accounts, yet often with the most detail in the individual stories. This eyewitness account written by Mark, is based on the reflections of Peter (one of Jesus’ disciples) and can be read in one sitting in around an hour and is the ideal starting place to understand what Jesus did; the significance of those things and the implications for your life.
